BOARD OF SELECTMEN
SPECIAL MEETING
CALL TO ORDER
A special meeting of the Board of Selectmen was called to order at 8:05 a.m. on May 2, 2008. Deputy First Selectman, John Hampton, Mike Long, Moira Wertheimer and Bob Hensley were present. Brandon Robertson, Director of Administrative Services was also present.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
PUBLIC AUDIENCE
There was not public audience
REVIEW, DISCUSS AND POSSIBLY APPROVE BUDGET FLYER FOR THE 2009 FISCAL YEAR PURSUANT TO C.G.S. 9-369b
Following discussion, a motion was made, seconded and unanimously adopted to approve the FY 09 budget flyer subject to the following:
" Place the general fund budget slide before the capital project slide
" Clarify that of the capital projects listed, only the Firetown/Barndoor Hills Land Purchase would be acted on at referendum.
" On the budget history graphic, clarify that FY 07 and FY 08 percent increases were higher than normal due to funding for Other Post Employment Benefits. Include a footnote explaining what the increases would have been without OPEB funding.

A motion was made, seconded and unanimously adopted to adjourn. The meeting was adjourned at approximately 8:35 a.m.
