Annual Report: Copies of the 2002-2003 annual report prepared by the undersigned was distributed for comment. Due to the short lead time the report has been submitted to the Town prior to the 12/11/03 meeting.  However, comments are welcome and can be incorporated as appropriate.

Minutes: the minutes from the November 13th meeting were accepted.

Revenue Report: Golf rounds decreased approximately 15.8% from 2002.  Actual fee rounds were down 18% while pass rounds decreased 11%.    However total revenue decreased only 4.2%.  Total revenue consists primarily of fees, pass revenue and pro-shop income.  In 2003 fee income dropped only 7% due to the fee rate increases (approx. 6-7%) incorporated for the 2003 season, pass revenue actually increased 3% while pro-shop income decreased only 2.7%.

Proposed fees 2004:
Golf - Proposed recommendations for 2004 are summarized on the attached sheet.  This years recommendation focus on a strategy of attracting more golf rounds rather than another simple fee rate increase. Included in this strategy is the purchase of a seasonal tent which will be proposed to attract large golf outings, an excellent source of  revenue.  It should be emphasized that the recommendations proposed in the attachment will be reviewed and possibly revised in June based on the revenue being generated.

Summer Camps - fee increases will be recommended across the board to offset rising labor costs.

New Business:
Free skating (Thanksgiving): Assuming the Town could get volunteers to work on Thanksgiving, the ice rink may be open to the public for a minimum fee.  The comment questioned why Simsbury Farms was opened only for golf.  Gerry Toner agreed to investigate.
