Human Relations Commission Meeting

Eno Hall – Office of Social Services
The meeting was called to order at 5:10 pm.
Present were Eva Hausman, Susan Ersinghaus & Mickey Lecours-Beck
The Minutes of the last meeting held on Sept. 15 2009 were read and approved.
Commission members then reviewed what had been achieved over the last year and brainstormed over what the limited resources available to the members could be applied to in the future to engage and educate the community. Members agreed most residents of the town are unaware of the intolerance and prejudice that certain members of the community continue to experience.
A calendar for the coming year was agreed to. Meetings were scheduled for :

Members pledged to use some time before the next meeting to explore ideas toward planting seeds of tolerance and awareness. Ms. Ersinghaus will call the Valley Press to inquire about the availability/cost of space to promote awareness of our efforts.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:17 pm.
